Tree Doctor charged with malpractice over Dutch elm disease
ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Marcia McCann moved into her home in the Barelas neighborhood 13 years ago. She wondered about moving into the city at a time when so many were moving out. But when she heard the lions roar at the nearby zoo, she knew it was someplace special. When she saw the massive elm tree in the backyard, she bought the house.
“I love this neighborhood. But this tree did it for me,” McCann said.
The elm holds sway over her yard – and her neighbors’. The tree shields much of the high, hot summer sun and lets warm winter rays shine through.
